Research Assistant 2016
● Collected and Processed data on the flexibility, structure and function of over 1200 cadets’ feet at
West Point Military Academy. Research aimed to determine the risk of injury in different foot
types and explore the role of shoe orthotics in minimizing these injuries.

Independent Study Thesis 2014-2015
● Independently studied the enzyme NicF (one of several enzymes involved in the degradation
pathway of Bordetella pertussis that ultimately causes whooping cough) to elucidate methods that
could render it nonfunctional, thus inhibiting the spread of Bordetella pertussis in humans. This
study spanned over 2 years culminating in a 60-page thesis and two hour long thesis defense.

● Developed clinic and surgery schedules for podiatry residents and visiting medical students.
● Conducted weekly academic grand rounds within the Podiatry department to discuss all major
pre and post surgical cases.
● Coordinated monthly cadaver and sawbone labs with physicians and product representatives
to improve residents’ and students’ surgical experience and knowledge.
● Advocated as a resident liaison on behalf of residents, administrators, senior staff and nursing.

● Assessed and worked with multiple patients in the community by conducting weekly visits to
their homes. Aimed to reduce hospital readmissions by helping them achieve realistic,
measurable health goals and track their holistic health.
● Reported back to a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers and nutritionists
from the Cleveland Clinic and collaborated with them to formulate a health plan for patients.
